Published poets and short fiction writers,
I seek your help. I would be much indebted to you if you could give me advice/tips/information regarding getting one's work published. I have always wanted to be published and I feel that I have reached a point where I have a large enough body of work that there must be at least a few publishable pieces. I am also seeking to take initiative in life so if you could recommend publishing houses, tips for manuscript selections, really anything that might help, I would be ever so grateful.

duotrope.com is a database of publications both online and print that let's your search to your specifications.

lulu.com you can publish your book, costs you nothing, they print on demand and you can set the price etc.

and those links aren't spam i promise

you have MORE than enough to publish. go for it. just be stubborn. i've had 52 poems published and just finished my 3rd book but i've also got hundreds of rejections over the years.
